What each
certificate covers

and how it is issued

Certificates at Lodskam are tied to specific skill checkpoints within the advanced drawing curriculum. Completing a module is not enough — each certificate requires a submitted project reviewed against defined criteria by a course instructor.

Cert 01

Observational Drawing

Covers sustained gesture, contour line accuracy, and proportion systems across still-life and figure subjects. Projects are evaluated on line quality, spatial consistency, and structural understanding.

Foundational
Cert 02

Tonal Construction

Addresses light logic, cast shadow mapping, and value gradation across multiple media including graphite, charcoal, and ink wash. Assessment focuses on tonal range and three-dimensional clarity.

Intermediate
Cert 03

Compositional Methodology

Examines picture plane division, visual weight, directional flow, and negative space use. Students submit original compositions demonstrating intentional placement and controlled visual tension.

Advanced

Complete the module

Work through all video lessons, annotated exercises, and reference sheets within the designated curriculum block.

Submit your project

Upload scanned or photographed work via the course platform. High-resolution scans at 300 dpi are required for accurate evaluation.

Instructor review

A course instructor reviews your submission against the published rubric. Written feedback is provided regardless of outcome.

Certificate issued

Approved projects trigger automatic certificate generation. A digitally signed PDF is sent to your registered email within 48 hours.

Resubmission is available. Students whose projects do not meet the rubric threshold receive detailed written notes and may resubmit once per module. There is no time penalty — the goal is accurate skill documentation, not speed. Certificates carry the Lodskam designation and the issuing instructor's name.

  • Certificates are issued in English and include the full module title, completion date, and instructor signature.
  • Each credential references the specific rubric used for evaluation, making the basis of assessment transparent.
  • Digital verification links are embedded in every certificate PDF for third-party confirmation of authenticity.
