About Lodskam

Drawing taught without shortcuts

Lodskam started in Rivne in 2019 with a single objective: deliver advanced drawing instruction through online lectures that treat each student as a serious practitioner, not a passive viewer.

Every course is structured around sequential skill-building — perspective before rendering, form before detail, construction before expression. Students don't skip steps because the curriculum doesn't let them.

How the curriculum is built

Each lecture series isolates one technical domain — light and shadow, human proportion, spatial perspective, or mark-making — and moves through it methodically. Students complete exercises before advancing, not after.

Sequential structure

Each module unlocks only after the previous one is reviewed. No jumping ahead, no optional prerequisites.

One discipline per series

Rather than mixing topics, each lecture series concentrates on a single discipline — structural form, tonal rendering, perspective construction, or figure drawing. Students build reliable, transferable understanding within each domain before combining them in later work.

Multimedia lecture format

Lectures combine close-up video of the drawing process, annotated diagrams, and spoken explanation of reasoning — not just outcome. Students see where decisions are made and why certain approaches produce different results under different conditions.

Clear progression

Each lesson ends with a concrete exercise tied to the next module's starting point.

Olenka Havryliuk

Lead Instructor — Structural Drawing

Focuses on form construction and spatial logic. Her lectures on box-based figure building are among the most referenced in the programme.

Darko Petrušić

Instructor — Light and Shadow

Covers tonal rendering from basic sphere exercises to complex multi-light portrait studies. Works with graphite and digital tools across separate tracks.

Yustyna Bodnar

Curriculum Designer

Sequences the lecture content so each series builds logically on the one before it. Reviews student feedback to identify where explanation gaps appear.
